Welcome! ¡Bienvenidos!

My name is Madeline, and I'm glad to see you here! I'd like to invite you on a journey of changing the way we think about history. Why does it even matter? The answer becomes clearer when we look beyond simple facts, dates, and names and begin to view history as the complex, wildly colorful, and ever-expanding story of humankind - one in which we all play a part.

I am an undergraduate student at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina, where I am pursuing a degree in History and Social Studies Education with a minor in Spanish. Upon graduation, I will be licensed to teach in the state of North Carolina at the secondary level, which includes middle and high school.

On this website, I'll be sharing examples of my academic work, like research and curriculum design. Click here if you'd like to get to know a little more about me, and here if you'd like to contact me. I'd love to hear from you!

That you are here—that life exists and identity,

That the powerful play goes on, and you may contribute a verse.

- Walt Whitman
